Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. She is widely acclaimed as a pioneer in the field of eyewitness testimony and child witnesses within legal contexts. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive, she has received numerous grants and is the recipient of many honors both national and internationally. She has worked with various governments and agencies throughout the globe on policy as well as research on children who are victims of the justice system. She has been a consultant with the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of numerous professional organizations, which include those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She has served as director of 3 divisions (Division Society for Policy on Child and Family and Practice Division, American Psychological Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
